Spaces & Quads

Job Fonts - consist of assorted spaces and quads. Spaces are thin for use between words and to fill out lines of type until they are snug against the walls of the chase. Quads are much wider and are used to fill the gap between the set type and the walls of the chase. Each package contains an assortment of widths necessary for the indicated point size. Precision cast to assure exact alignment with type.

Assorted Quads - Since a larger quantity of quads than spaces are generally used, it may be desirable to have an extra assortment of quads on hand for your more popular point sizes. One of these 2 1/2 pound assortments will go a long way when setting type!
