Gum Rubber

The fine quality of this brick red, .090"-.100" thick dense rubber stamp gum can be seen at a glance. This rubber has a minimum of clay fillers that can cause pungent odors in your shop or work area. Vulcanizes easily under steam, electric or "dry" heat. Pre-treated with Mica powder to minimize sticking to the mold. Supplied on film backing. Remove the film and use our Release Paper to prevent sticking to the upper platen of your press. Has a four to six month shelf life. This material makes clear, sharp art stamp or rubber stamp dies from matrix or paper based phenolic molds. Vulcanizes in about 8 minutes at 300 degrees F. Sold in 10" x 18" sheets or in 18" wide, 50 lb. rolls (approximately 50 10" x 18" sheets per roll).
